Lakeland Role Playing Guild provides two gaming events each month on the 2nd and 4th Fridays from 7:00-11:30pm. We meet at 3140 Troy Avenue in Lakeland (inside the UU Congregation of Lakeland).

Our events provide multiple scheduled gaming tables as well as room for open tables for board games or card games or pick up RPG games. Check out our event descriptions in the category Guild News, Announcements, and Schedule.

Events are free to check out, although we do encourage regular attendees to join the Guild. Beginning in Activity Year 18 (Sept 2017), dues are $40 per person to become a member. If you do not wish to become a member, after two visits as a guest, there will be a $2 door charge to play. Your dues help us pay for our rent of the space and other items as needed.

We do not provide matchmaking services for home tables. We do not advertise home tables. We are involved primarily with running our two mini-con events each month. If members wish to recruit for their own personal home tables, they are welcome to do so both at Guild events as well as in the member-only section of the forum. The Guild holds no responsibility for those tables run outside of Guild.

LRPG Event -- 7/12/2019 -- Game Night with D&D5e, Pathfinder 1e, Genesys, D20 and BattleTech


A couple of reminders:

1. All visitors can attend their first & second Guild Events for free to check us out.
2. After those two visits, you either can pay $5 at the door for every visit thereafter or become a full Guild Member for $40 for a one-year term.
3. If you wish to reserve a seat at a specific table, comment your preference here and we will put you on that table's list. We will make an announcement when a table is considered full, after which additional names will go on the stand-by list for that table. Please arrive at the Guild Event by 7:15pm in order to claim your spot. If you do not arrive or do not let us know that you will be running a bit late, your spot will be released at 7:30 for those on standby.

A special addition to this event's schedule:

We will be having a Memorial Rummage Sale of various gaming books and miniatures. Long-time Guild Member Mike "Moose" Diraffaele (who maintained support of and belief in the LRPG even though he hadn't taken part in any events for a number of years) passed away a few weeks ago after a long illness. He was a great hobbyist and an avid collector of material. Before he died, he made it clear that he wanted the Guild to benefit from and share in his collection. A great number of his game books (all in good shape) and his unused minis (almost all still in their packaging) will be available for perusal and claiming for a token offering of $1 or $2.

Table 1: Battletech minis -- Mercenaries: War of 3039 (GM Scott)

House Davion of the Federated Commonwealth wages renewed war against its long-time foe House Kurita of the Draconis Combine. At the same time, House Liao of the Capellan Confederation engages in a stealthy war of revenge against Davion for losses suffered during the Fourth Succession War. To fulfill their goals, Capellan forces and their mercenary hirelings have breached Draconis space in pursuit of the hated FedCom. A highly-trained team of mercenaries has accepted a bounty for the capture of Davion officers and has tracked their target to a river-laden area near the coast of a Combine planet. Guild Master Scott P runs this BattleTech miniatures game and has room for up to six players using pre-generated forces. All miniatures are provided.

Table 2: D20 System RPG -- Interstellar Overdrive: Couriers (GM Erika)

On the edge of Sector Orba sits a small region of space that is fully-aligned with (but not officially-claimed by) the Empire which lies several Jump transits coreward. The region also is influenced by the Technocracy some Jumps spinward. A team of Independent Scout Services agents makes their way through this region learning about the motivations of the various factions as well as those of their own organization. Guild Member Erika runs this D20 System RPG and has room for up to six players using pre-generated characters. (Part of the LRPG’s official science fiction In-House Campaign.)

Table 3: Pathfinder 1e RPG -- Master of the Desert Nomads (GM Rich)

War approaches the Republic of Darokin from across the mysterious Great Waste. Can you defeat the Master of the Desert Nomads before his armies lay waste to your homelands? Guild Exchequer Rich runs this Pathfinder RPG and has room for up to six players using pre-generated characters. (This multi-part mega-adventure converts classic Dungeons & Dragons material to the Pathfinder 1st Edition rule set.)

Table 4: Genesys RPG -- Disciples of Fire (GM Jonathan)

Hell has broken loose. Literally. You and your fellow Agents of Purgatory must put a stop to the rampage. Guild Apprentice Jonathan runs this Genesys RPG and has room for up to six players using pre-generated characters.

Table 5: D&D5e RPG -- The LRPG's "Regular" D&D Game (GM Alex / Tristan)

Traditional high-fantasy with a bit of pop culture flavoring presented by a tag-team of two of our most dedicated Game Masters. This installment is run by Guild Member Tristan and he has room for up to eight players using a combination of player-created and pre-generated characters.

Open Table 1: D&D5e RPG -- Princes of the Apocalypse (GM Eric)

Called by the Elder Elemental Eye to serve, four corrupt prophets have risen from the depths of anonymity to claim mighty weapons with direct links to the power of the elemental princes. Each of these prophets has assembled a cadre of cultists and creatures to serve them in the construction of four elemental temples of lethal design. It is up to adventurers from heroic factions such as the Emerald Enclave and the Order of the Gauntlet to discover where the true power of each prophet lay, and dismantle it before it comes boiling up to obliterate the Realms. Guild Member Eric runs this adventure and has room for up to six players using pre-generated characters.
